Welcome to Skylake

Your Home For All Seasons

Skylake is a 1,360 acre gated community located in the historic Sautee-Nacoochee Valley which is nestled in the Appalachian foothills of northeast Georgia.
To date, over 80 percent of our 550 lots have been developed with homes and the average lot size of one acre or more, along with strict adherence to Skylake's building guidelines, help insure a close tie with nature that is so valued by our property owners. July 4th Community Picnic

President's Report 17 Jun, 6am
June 15, 2009

The Skylake website is now close to the finished product envisioned.  There are a few items to be completed, but it has most of the features to keep the property owners informed.

The work on the picnic area will not be started before the July 4th picnic as hoped.  However, the planning and permits are being pursued so that work can begin soon.

The board has approved purchase and installation of a key-card system for access to the pool.  Each property owner will be notified of the procedure for obtaining your access card.  Unauthorized use of the pool continues to be a problem as well as ignoring the rules by property owners and guests.  This system will not solve all of the issues.  All users are encouraged to learn and support enforcement of the rules.

A nominating committee will be approved at the June board meeting.  This committee will be charged with finding six nominees for the three board positions to serve 2010 thru 2012.  Please give careful consideration when you are asked to be nominated.  It is the service of our many volunteers that keep our assessments low and assure that our actions reflect the views of the community.

The new Capital Reserve Committee has begun their work of reviewing the reserve plan.  The board has decided to wait until after this committee makes some initial decisions about the plans for the major projects of dredging the upper lake, paving costs, and water line replacement before planning the implementation of the clubhouse modifications.
